Character Information
General
Canon Source: Snow White and the Huntsman
Canon Format: movie
Character's Name: Snow White
Character's Age: 17
Conditional: If your character is 13 years of age or under, please clarify how they will be played. n/a
What form will your character's NV take? A book. The book has a leather cover and has papyrus pages, decorated with gold and gems. This is the sort of book she would’ve known back home so it’s something she would be comfortable with having on her person.
Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: Because she is a princess, Snow White did receive some amount of tutoring before her father was killed. She knows how to read and write, and likely received teaching on other languages such as Latin. It’s also likely she was taught to play an instrument or given vocal lessons.
Living in a tower most of her life taught her to be more self-reliant. She learned survival skills such as making a fire, rationing food and water, and enduring the elements. She can also weave straw into little dolls. After meeting the huntsman she learned how to defend herself and has some skill with a sword. She is skilled in horseback riding and is able to do battle on horseback as well.
She also has a certain way with people and creatures. Fairies have come to her aid and when she faced off against a troll, something about her caused it to retreat. Her heart is her strength: her love for her people gives her the power to fight, her kindness can win her loyalty, and her anger can give her strength against her enemies. Also, because she is of “fairest blood”, she is the only one who can break the spell Ravenna’s mother cast on her.
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? She has an enhanced version of her Fairest Blood ability. In canon this affects mainly Ravenna and her powers, but here this will affect any character (with other mun's permission) whose powers are "dark". "Dark" defined as an ability used with malicious intent, usually calling on evil forces. (example: dark magic in Harry Potter, necromancy, etc) Snow and the other character will have to be in close proximity for her Fairest Blood to take effect.
The other character will experience a dampening of their ability as long as they are near Snow, and they will find their powers less effective if used against her.
Weapons: She will be carrying one short knife that the huntsman gave her. Although she has some training in swords, she will not have any unless she finds one somewhere or something.
History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: history
Point in Canon: Having just recently revived from the dead. This way she will initially assume that she has been taken to some horrific place by Ravenna, and she’ll grow even more suspicious because of the Darkness
She was recently traveling with the huntsman and the dwarves. They were attacked by the Queen’s men and Gus gave his life to protect her. It was a painful goodbye for Snow White, who had grown close to the young dwarf. William joined them to watch over her. Snow White saw him walking alone through the woods and went to join him. They spoke for a while and Snow White playfully took an apple from him.
She took a bite from it and immediately started choking: it was poisonous. “William” was actually Ravenna in disguise. Ravenna was going to kill Snow White but the huntsman and William stopped her. Unfortunately they were too late to save Snow White. She was taken to Duke Hammond’s castle and put to rest. The huntsman came to visit her and gave her a parting kiss. After he left Snow White suddenly revived.
Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history: n/a
Character Personality: Despite all the hardships she endured in her life, Snow White retains a loving and kind heart. She shows that love to all creatures. When she was young she showed that love by nursing an injured bird. This love is also what gave her the strength and courage to finally break out of her tower prison. She witnessed first-hand what Ravenna was doing to innocent young women of the kingdom, and knew it was up to her to stop it and save her people.
Initially she's reluctant to actually fight anyone. She doubted she would be able to go through with injuring a foe, and her gentle nature held her back. The huntsman teaches her and Snow White learns that she is the only one who can put an end to Ravenna's terror. This knowledge makes her more resolved to fight.
She also has fierce determination. It was her determination that kept her going year after year being trapped in the tower. Once she set her mind on a goal she stuck to it and faced any obstacle that got in her way. This also makes her very brave. She had enough bravery to go into the Dark Forest alone as well as to stand up against a troll. And even though the woman chased and tormented her, Snow White wasn’t afraid of Ravenna. Instead she fought against Ravenna’s brother and pushed onward despite all attempts to stop her.
Although she does have a kind and loving heart, Snow White can be guarded in her trust of others. This largely comes from the betrayal she witnessed when Ravenna killed the king. In that event Snow White lost the last of her family, and William and his father were forced to flee the castle. Losing people close to her made it difficult for Snow White to open up and trust others. This was especially true when she first encountered the huntsman. It was only after traveling with him for a while that Snow White finally grew to trust him.
Snow White has gone through many painful and heartbreaking experiences and has witnessed horrific events, but she doesn’t let any of that weigh her down. Rather than falling into despair or giving up, she continues fighting because of her strong heart. All that she has experienced and witnessed only acts as motivation to keep her going. At first she was uncertain about being the leader of the resistance against Ravenna, but eventually she gained strength and confidence through her journey.
Conditional: Personality development in previous game: n/a
Character Plans:This seems like a good place for Snow White to grow into the confident leader and warrior we see after she revives from the dead. It gives her an opportunity to face battles on her own without William or the huntsman to guide her. Hopefully she will also make allies along the way.
Appearance/PB: Hair black as night, skin white as snow, lips red as blood. Snow White has a slender build, her hair falling below her shoulders. She wears a dress ripped at the knees and boots to cover her feet.

Writing Samples
First Person Sample [the video comes on to show a teenage girl. There is dirt smeared on her face and she has a thoughtful frown on her lips]
Is that how this works? I’m not sure if I understand it completely. Hopefully it’s enough…
This Darkness feels like something Ravenna would conger. But it isn’t really from her, is it? It’s something else; something that needs to be fought against. I may not understand this place or its technology but I do understand that much.
There are so many dark forces in this place that threaten us, but if we stand together I know we can fight against it. I will lend my strength, such as it is. Allow me to bear arms with you all against this common foe.
[and she adds this quietly to herself] If I can face this Darkness, then battling against Ravenna’s forces will seem like nothing.
Third Person Sample She could hear the haunting wail of the sirens pierce the sky. Her fingers tightened on her knife’s hilt, her face setting to one of fierce determination. When Snow White first awoke in this strange new world she was assaulted by so many confusing sights and sounds. She was convinced it was all some horrible spell of Ravenna to keep her trapped. Just like the tower, only larger in scope.
Those sirens told her what was coming: night. With night came the Darkness, and with Darkness came terrifying monsters. Just the sort of creatures Ravenna’s magic would create to torment Snow White’s people. She knew now it wasn’t really Ravenna; it was a force even stronger than the queen.
But the power had the same dark, sinister feel. It caused the same decay and ruin that Ravenna did. That was enough for Snow White to take action against it. She would fight back against this Darkness and rescue the people from its grip.
If she could stand up against this sinister force, then she would truly be a warrior worthy of leading her people against Ravenna.
Enough thinking. It was time to act. Snow White took a breath and stepped out into the night.
